Hi All,
I am currently operating a Rotax 503 DCDI with a Keywest regulator/ rectifier with a Powersonic 12volt, 18amp battery. I seem to be getting allot of noise through the com radio from the engine. If I reduce the engine power, the radio noise goes away. The problem has aways been around but seems to be getting worse now.
I have made sure I have good grounds, resistor spark plugs on the engine, and looked at all the electrical connections to make sure they are clean and secure.
I suspect the regulator is beginning to fail. It has about 56 hours on it since new. Is there a better voltage regulator/rectifier for the Rotax engine?
Inquiring minds would like to know!
Thanks in Advance,
Carlos G
