Point is I give real time real life experiences like the previous
example, I have seen enough rebuilt cranks fail that if you gave
them to me for free I would not use them.
some say penny wise pound foolish .. live and learn as others have

OK I'd like the slinging to stop. However a couple of good
points have been raised that might prove useful to the 582 community.
1) Cheap cranks. 2) Rebuilt cranks. Nobody can debate the usefulness
of cheap cranks if they're new or factory reman. The question is,
therefore, is there any way to tell a new crank from one that has
been after-market rebuilt? Is there any way to confirm the pedigree
of TMR's cranks? Please withhold your opinions, I'm looking for hard data.
