Hi guys,



Anybody have any experience with removing/replacing the throttle and 

prop cables on a Yak 55M? Mine are binding badly and the aluminum tubes 

are fractures at several locations. I can get at the cable brackets in 

the cockpit (with some gymnastics) but the cable stop in the hell hole 

behind the firewall is essentially out of my reach. Any ideas would be 

appreciated. Also, any thoughts about the best choice to replace them 

American cables (and tap out the Russian fittings to 10-32), or try to 

recreate the Russian ones, or find replacement Russian cables (and if 

so, any leads? WLAC doesn't appear to have them...).



Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
