Doug,
I went with a three blade Warp Drive Composite prop w/tapered tips. With my lyc 0-235 it provides me with light weight and the ability to adjust it for maximum cruise or improved climb. Chris Heintz is pretty happy with the wood prop he chose to use with the prototype 601xl, which uses the 0-235. The disadvantage is (for me) the fixed pitch and the caution that wooden props should not be flown extensively in rain. I got the nickel leading edge on the Warp drive prop which allows its use in rain. Either wood or composite should shatter on a prop strike to prevent damaging the crank from what I have read. Plus I like the cool factor of the three blade prop. A two blade Warp will work on the ~ 100 hp engines but they recommend no more than 50 hp per blade so the three blade is recommended with the 0-235.

I'm interested in getting input on which type of prop to use. Wood, woodcomp,
carbon,....?

What is everyone using, and why?

Doug
