    I just watched the Mythbusters tape. The only thing the treadmill did was make the wheels spin faster. It had nothing to do with the plane being pulled by the prop until airflow lifted the plane. Kind of like the old bulldozer problem- how fast is the track moving at the top and bottom of the track frame if the dozer is doing 20mph?

    If there was no prop, and the wheels were powered, the plane would be stationary, and not airflow/no lift.
