Not long ago, a Kitfox Series 5 was totaled in an accident on takeoff
from an airport in Texas. The insurance company subsequently sold
the remains to a buyer believed to be in Florida. I'd appreciate any
information on the person who purchased N915W, as Murle Williams is
interested in purchasing some of the parts off the plane from that
buyer.

If you have any information on this aircraft, please e-mail me or
Murle Williams <Murle.Williams(at)gmail.com>.

Thanks,

Mike G.

If you haven't already, you may wish to read the article about the crash by the pilot/author in the Feb. '08 issue of "Sport Aviation" on page 52. I know the pilot and will ask him if he knows what happened to N915W.

buying the engine out of.through a salvage dealer that i know of..but
he did not get the bid..so i did not get the engine..Steve Shinabery

That plane was built by Murle Williams in AZ and was a Sun And Fun Champion. The crash was videoed by the pilots son.

I think it was at AirVenture 07. Met and talked to the owner and his son who had flown from Tx. Glad no one was hurt. It was a beautiful airplane. Sad
