For those of you who are contemplating removing the Russian instruments and
slave gyro system, below is a list of the components and their individual
weights. The PT-200 inverter was not removed, but should weigh in pretty
close to 10 pounds if removed. This information was provided to me by Jimmy
Fordham who is upgrading his Yak 52 with a Dynon D10A. The Russian VHF
radio was previously removed. The cannon plugs and wiring remained in the
airplane.
1.9 Russian intercom box and connections
3.7 compass front
3.7 compass rear
2.9 v/s, turn and bank front
2.9 v/s, turn and bank rear
5.3 attitude ind. front
5.3 attitude ind. rear
7.0 Pag-1 inv.
15.0 dir. gyro and rack mount (located just aft of front seat)
1.0 Misc. wires and switches associated with the above.
Total wt. removed is 47 lbs. +- a few ozs.

I forgot to mention all weights are in pounds and ounces.
