My Kitfox 5 is ready for the Dynon FlightDEK D180 to be installed. Anyone have any information on the best place to install the Remote Compass Module. I don't want to renvent

I have a Grand Rapids EFIS and mounted the maganatometer near the left wingtip. On the outboard side on the rib the pitot tube is on I used a piece
of 1/4 inch( wider than the remote compass) ply to glue on top of the stringer and against the rib. turn the wing upside down and put the glue fillets on the bottom side. Turn the wing over when dry. I used a 2" spacer as a guide to glue a scrap piece of stringer material fore and aft. Glue with super glue.
Remove spacer, I put my compass in place ( the stringer material assures the compass is parallel to the rib. I drilled the front and back holes put BRASS 10-32 screws in place, heads on bottom and glued heads.
used BRASS nuts and blue locktite.
No steel should be closer than 18". My compass is a 3" X 4" black box with a mounting hole front and back.
Mark your rib stitch points on the rib, you will need to drill a large hole in the
ply to rib stitch the wing.

My Dynon's remote compass module is on an aluminum plate attached to the tubular steele behind the baggage area. The plate is on a plane parallel to the plane the Dynon is on. The wiring plug for the remote faces forward as called for in the install manual. Mounting hardware is stainless or aluminum. It seems to work OK even though the remote unit is within several inches of fuselage tubing and despite magnetic fields strong enough to render the dash mounted Wiskey compass useless.
