Hi Folks - for any of you interested in the Southern B-B-Que Fly-in and get together on March 15th there is some information for you at billclapp.com . Zenith Listers,
While flying from Zephyrhills, FL to Goldsboro, NC, my CFI abandoned me and my CH701 near Folkston, GA. I had the good fortune of finding Bill who lives near by in Valdosta, GA.
The Rotax 912 ULS developed a problem with the fuel pump. Lockwood made an overnight delivery with new pump. Thanks Lockwood! I returned home to NC and left the plane in Folkston.
I quickly determined that Bill would be a great asset. Bill is a licensed A & P and also a CFI. Great combination. He drove over to Folkston with gas for the CH701, installed the new fuel pump and flew the plane to Goldsboro.
During the flight, he confirmed some numbers for landing and Vx/Vy speeds. He also monitored temperatures and instrument performance. A great job.
I highly recommend Bill. He did a great job bringing my CH701 home. Again, many thanks Bill.
