Hi Peter,
The things I considered for the trim tab were, is it easy to repair or
resize. The one I have is very effective, so
it's hardly noticed when you begin flying and or have people walking the
plane. Simple.
The pitot was mounted on a disk and attached just forward of the spar,
first spar hole outside the leading edge tanks.

Seems steady enough and is easily inspected. Added access port Tees
within the wing joint for checking the
transponder and altimeter.

Hello fellow Listers
I'm about to finish the left outer wing panel of my HDS.
Does any of the gents here know where to position my pitot tube?
I intended to place it just outboard of rib #7 behind the main spar. Does that sound reasonable?
Same question with the aileron trim tab. I intend to place it between rib #8 and#9. Is there any advantage/disadvantage between a recessed style Trim tab and a board (like on Larry Mc's website) ?
Thanks and greetings from Germany
Peter
