Today was the day. The snow has finally melted enough to get the hanger door open. The runway has been plowed (however there is still about 3 feet of snow on both sides). I took the brand new 85DD rebuilt Kitfox I-IV Nosewheel (I call it that because of all the model IV mods we have installed) and taxied for 0.8 hours. First slowly, then about 30 mph and then did several wheelies down the runway at about 40 to 55 mph . Did a few slight lift offs, keeping the plane just a few inches above the runway, then settled back to earth . She seems to have lots of power and really wants to get off the ground in a hurry with the new Warp Drive prop. We still have a few things to check and re-check before the big maiden flight, but it feels like spring is getting close . . . and so is my new fox getting close to flight! Thanks to John Oakley for all his advice and encouragement!!!
