Subject: Press release March 2008
Date: Thu, 27 Mar 2008 15:20:22 +0000
To all AMD aircraft owners,
On behalf of Aircraft Manufacturing & Design, I have some exciting news to
share with you. I want you to be among the first to hear about our new
manufacturing facility and Aircraft Manufacturing & Design. The driving
force behind this is a re-organization effort to put in place a long term
structure that will ultimately better serve all our customers: Better sales
and better maintenance services, but also increased production of the
well-established Zodiac and the introduction of exciting new models, such as
the Patriot.
AMD is only producing Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) such as the Zodiac and
Patriot and will be relocating to a newer manufacturing building on the same
airport in Eastman, Georgia. Based on its vision - and the strength of its
ambitious business plan - AMD has now signed a long term "lease to own"
agreement on a brand new 25,000 square-foot commercial building. Yes, the
company is investing for the long term; it is aggressively positioning
itself to become a significant US manufacturer of LSA.
Another major achievement for AMD is that it just received Product Liability
Insurance approval from one of the major insurance underwriters for the
Light Sport Aircraft that it produces. This will set AMD apart from almost
all other LSA manufacturers, and again, will ultimately benefit its
customers: the owners and pilots of its aircraft.
Clearly, the focus of AMD is aircraft that are designed and built to the new
Light Sport (LSA) standards. Production of the Alarus type-certificated
aircraft, previously produced by Aircraft Manufacturing & Development will
continue at Zenair Ltd of Canada on a limited basis. Current Alarus owners
and operators in need of parts will be serviced by Zenair Ltd at
705-526-2871. All Alarus-related service information will continue to be
distributed through the Internet and will be available online at
http://www.newplane.com/amd/CH2000_Service.html .
For Zodiac or Patriot sales, please contact John Degonia at 478-374-2759 or
e-mail him at degonia(at)bellsouth.net .
For Zodiac or Patriot service, please contact Garry at gwebst(at)bellsouth.net
or Terry at ttiraboschi(at)bellsouth.net , or by phone at 478-374-2759.
For more information on AMD please see www.newplane.com .
We welcome everyone to visit us at our our new building on the Eastman GA
airport. However, please ignore the clutter as it will take us until May
2008 to be completely moved into our new facilities.
Very sincerely,
John Degonia
Aircraft Manufacturing & Design
Sales Manager
