I have installed the Dynon D100 EFIS and the Jabiru 3300.
Dynon say to connect the Tach to the Alternator output then set the pulses/rev in the setup.
My (probably dumb!) question is How many pulses/rev does the alternator produce? My first thought was that there were 12 coils on the stator, 12 the figure should be 12, but the Dynon setup only allows up to 8.
I haven't run the engine yet, but would like to get the settings right before I do.

The pulse rate for the 3300 is 6 (number of poles divided by number of wires)
