In the process of drafting an RPA brochure for OSH, I've received now three different speeds for the for the Yak 52's Vne.   What do you Yak owners believe it to be?   Thanks, Blitz

My plaque card reads 450 kilometers/hour. I use 430 kph.

My translated Russian Aircraft Flight Manual (Book 6, Page 10) says "max adm airspeed 420 km/hr

Your national aviation regulatory body may have placed blanket limits on Vne regardless of bulletin status e.g. UK mandates 420 km/h.



From a translated Russian 1999 flight manual (sic) "for airplanes from 65-th series, and also for the airplanes modified under bulletins 59R and 60R, maximum permissible speed of 450 km/h"



So all aircraft from s/n 866501 had bulletins 59R/60R incorporated at manufacture, otherwise Vne is limited anyway to 420 km/h ... so you may want to check the mod status entered in your Russian Airframe log page 211 for builds up to s/n 866414.

Also YAK(UK) has a useful Excel spreadsheet ... just enter your s/n number (includes UK specific mandated mods too);
