VA is defined as the speed at which a full control deflection can be made abruptly and the aircraft will stall before any damage results to the airframe. 



Chris H has given us a fix that will reduce the amount of elevator deflection available. So even though there is no evidence that Sub VA flight has ever resulted in a failure it will be much harder to overstress the airframe.



But remember, even if you install the fix it is not a license to slam the stick forward.
