Folks,
My CJ had chronic oil leaks that my first shop was unable to rectify, I took it to Zach of Atlanta based (Calhoun Regional Airport, 60 miles NNW of ATL) "Hawk Aviation", an ex-Delta mechanic and small airplane focused A&P who has been working on our aiplanes -
Their work was fantastic, started with a detailed report, to even include what he would define when he addressed leaks, drips, seeps, etc. They did the work fast, complete and when I went out there to spend a day and check flight the CJ, since I have yet to land a home with jacks, he assisted with a out of balance nosewheel. Engine was given a complete internal inspection, besides seal replacements, lugs were checked/fixed and more - engine/prop was as dry as any I've worked with. Watching the guys work, they know what their doing, I also watched when Zach had a question he accessed the CJ manuals - didn't try to "wing" the answer. Billing was straighforward and no bull (nose wheel fix was thrown in, we went flying after the check flight).
So if you need an annual for your CJ or Yak and hear of "Hawk Aviation" in Calhoun airport GA (phone 404-406-5252)-, I have to give this shop a very, very, strong recommend.
Hope this helps anyone/someone, you can contact me off list if you would like details on the work they performed, they also quoted an annual price,
Drew
