To Trigear converters,

By any chance, would anyone in the US happen to have lying around P/N
FL24, the monowheel Retraction Lever Guide Plate? I over cut mine and
just got it back from a welder who has botched up a repair of it...so
I'm looking for a new one.

Fred,

I'm at work right now so I can't get to mine to measure, but I think it's only 6061-T6 3/16" x 1 1/4" rectangular bar. Just order the appropriate length from ACS (Part No. 03-46250) (at) $2.70/ft + shipping.

In any case, if that's not the correct thickness, I'm sure that ACS will have some slab of Aluminum that will do just fine with some gentle file work.

Good building and great flying,

Hi Bob,

With my limited tool inventory, the pre-cut slot in FL24 is a real
advantage for me over making one up from stock; enlarging slot for the
gates I can handle (at least on a second try!). Before I order one from
the factory, I thought it worth the time to see if a trigear-converter
had one lying around.

Fred,

I understand completely. Cutting a slot in a slab of aluminum bar is no trivial task unless one has access to a milling machine. It will be a lot easier if you can find an unused FL24 as a starting point.
