This was another one of those memorable days when a guy makes a significant event happen in life. I got to solo my new Kolbra today after some good coaching from Mark German, the builder/previous owner. Mark decided to sell it and with my years of Firestar experience, soloed after less than an hour of transition training. Before buying, Mark told me that it's a "Firestar on steroids". Well, he was right. It's still a slow enough airplane for me to handle, yet get me someplace that would take forever in a 447 powered Firestar, with the reliability of the 912 engine. What a great day here in Minnesota. It got up to 74 degrees. The grass is almost turning green. Yippeee! (I think I need surgery to get this big smile off my face).

Ralph B:
I'll have to agree with you. I flew your airplane several years ago. Flies
like a big ole baby.
Now you won't have any excuse for not flying out to MV, down to the Kolb
Homecoming, Homer's Father's Day Flyin, John Bickham's Nauga Field Flyin at
Star Hill, LA. We'll be looking for you.
Take care,

PS: What is Mark building to replace the Kolbra?

Well John, I'm not quite retired yet, so I may have to wait a bit. Mark is building a 912S RANS S7.
