As many of you may know, US custom began scanning all arriving aircrafts for radiation in January of this year.

In an effort to protect the US public against those Canadian CJ/Yak owners, every aircraft arriving in the US has a date with a new "toy" that makes all sorts of weird noises.

You should have seen the expression on the Officer's face when he approached my CJ last Friday... His magical toy was having a field trip...

After taking isotope readings (the machine not only detect radiation, but it also identify the actual source of the radiation) in 3 different locations (ground power connector, LH and RH side of the front cockpit) he held me there while he went to check his bible for guidance.

5 minutes later, he call me on my cell phone and told me I was clear to go.

Good to know that even if I might eventually glow in the dark, my airplane is still cleared to enter in the US Wink

Cheers,

Dan

Nothing personal understand, but Canada is the easiest place for terrorist to get into the US.
1. You have a very large Moslem population they can easily hid in and your immigration policies easy.
2. Because of PC your welfare system will take care them. (It is actually in their manual to use the welfare system)
3. Also because of PC you security forces are hamstrung.
4. Our (yours and ours) bounder is the most porous of any in the world, simply because of the trust we've had with one another.

I guess we're still a little gun shy after 911.

Hi Pappy,,

I don't know you, and of course without speaking face to face I can't really tell how serious you are, but I have to reply.

I am an air traffic controller, I worked 911, I am a patriot, and I am Canadian.

1. there are more Muslims in the USA than in Canada, thats a fact.

2. every high jacker, not some, every high jacker during 911 was based, lived, and was allowed to enter the USA by the USA. They did not (contrary to popular belief) come from Canada.

3. PC? are you talking about the conservative government?, if so they have only been in power a short while (we were subjected to Liberal (democrat) rule for 13 years) and already our immigration policies are changing for the good. I'm a conservative, and much like you guys, when the wrong government party gets in, we all look like idiots.

4. I'm curious as to how a good American, god fearing, and country loving would have access to a "manual",, come on you really didn't say that. This is clearly one of the half truths promoted by Pat something er other on TV.

5. Again PC, hamstrung border is about the long living Lieberals in our country that governed and were caught with their hands in the jelly jar all the time.

6. Ok, I agree we have a very porous border, there is a good reason for that. TRADE!.... did you know you get more oil and gas from Canada, than even the middle east? Did you know that we export roughly 90% of our exportation's to the US? Also, amongst other things, we are 2 of the fewest nations on the planet that don't have a major problem with each other, sure we have squabbles, but the best of brothers do that too.

The USA and Canada have a had a long and prosperous history together, my only regret is that some of our friends to the south rely on News zealots, half truths, and somewhat sketchy reports from news media such as FOX to form their opinion of us. Dude, our families have fought side by side in WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and now Afghanistan, do you really think we would knowingly allow "terrorists" to attack you guys?

We're guilty of listening to lousy news too, but please stop relying on media such as FOX, Pat Bucanan, or Pat Robertson, et al to form your opinions without doing some other research.

Pappy, nothing personal and we will meet for a beer some day and we can discuss this further if you like. I just felt I had to clear up some misconceptions
