Just a heads up for those interested.
Jim Selby & Jim Selby, Jr. will be featured in the UK's Loop Magazine
hitting shelves any day now. While I don't know what US outlets will be
carrying the magazine, there is an online preview of the article and a
more in-depth, page-by-page spread if you choose to sign up (free) on
the website. The story revolves around the sole-surviving Yak-53 and
includes photos from one of the initial first flights in the US four
years ago along with a detailed 'walk-around' of the aircraft. Upon
hearing of the Yak-53's unique history, the magazine dedicated an
unprecedented eleven-page spread not only to the '53, but also the
history of Yakovlev and a layman's version of the Yak vs. CJ discussion.

Also insuring postal carrier job security, International Council of Air
Show members will be receiving their quarterly edition of Airshows
Magazine with Barry Hancock flying Mark Schrick's Yak-50 over Central
California. In an effort to promote Red Star and future airshow
participation, president of ICAS, John Cudahy has chosen the image as
the cover photo for the next issue.

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at the next All Red Star in
May as well as joining you all for the festivities at Oshkosh and will
continue doing what I can to promote the Eastern Bloc community!
Keep flying!
