Hi all,

This is slightly unrelated, but I think y'all will like it anyway.

We were out at the RAF Museum at Duxford yesterday. Weather was
absolutely perfect. The Aerostars were there practicing... they put
on a good show.

Near the end of the day we were watching a Spitfire going around a bit
and when the pilot landed we went over to tell the pilot that where
we're from, flying a dual-control Spitfire with an empty back seat is
a violation.

Well, he told us that the Spitfire belongs to his mom, and he just
turned *23* so he's been out every nice day to rack up the 50 hours he
needs before the insurance company will let him take passengers.

Talk about having your stars aligned! Great kid... he seemed to be
enjoying the hell out of it.

That will be Caroline Grace's boy. Lucky so and so.

Duxford is great but if you are there you should also make a point of
going to the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden too. All of theirs
fly! Check out http://www.shuttleworth.org. It's not very far from
Duxford by car. 10 minutes by Luscombe when I last did it so less than
an hour to drive I imagine.

Yak is currently grounded whilst awaiting new EASA paperwork. Plane is
still the same, just different paperwork since 1st April so clearly not
"safe" to fly. Bureaucrats. SIGH Sad Richard Goode has been superb at
sorting it all out for us 18T jockeys and many more Sukoi owners too.
