It does happen: I placed  an order at McMaster-Carr and they sent me an email saying that they have  stopped shipping overseas expet for some very special customes - that I am  oviously not.

 Why would a company that would be charging you for the S&H not want to  ship to the UK?

  

 If they did have a problem, have them shipped to a fellow Europaphile and  have them reship.

Alfred & others on the east side of the pond,



I already provide service as order intermediary between my friend Jos up in Finland and merchandising operations here in the U.S. who choose not to ship to your part of the world.    I'd be glad to do the same for any others who wish to buy from McMaster or other companies here in the U.S.  The only issue being the amazing shipping costs.  Ship to me and from me to you becomes expensive.  I do not add anything to the bill for myself.  Please feel free to contact me should you want to place any orders.
