Kip,
Incredible video. Your "minimalist" Firestar really captures the spirit of flying and I think it's one of the best looking F2s around. The video really does a great job of capturing that same spirit. I saved some photos you had posted of your plane years ago when I was looking for ideas for building my own. I've been interested in Kolbs for about 10 yrs but money and family commitments kept me from building. Last year I finally couldn't wait anymore and after much thought (about 15 min, I think) started seriously looking for a plane. Fortunately found one in time to do the ELSA certification. Keep up the good work

Include my admiration for the most efficient use of run time I have ever seen during a complete flight.-Especially if you have ever been caught behind one of those weekend skyhawk renters doing
the 15 minute runup. The gas those guys use on the ground would give me a good flight.

Thanks guys. I knew that I had less than 5 minutes on my video card so I had to be efficient.

Here's another. Nothing much, but as you can see there aren't too many
emergency landing places around here... unless I add floats and use the
river (the airport has a ramp). And I've _got_ to do something about that
helmet chin strap!
