|
|
Can any builder's with completed 801's tell me if they found a need to add
ballast to the tail, or locate the battery aft for balance purposes?
I built my Kitfox with a Continental IO-240B and ended up installing a
ballast box in the tail, via the battery access panel, which was a real
bear of a job.
Just getting ready to rivet my fueslage skins on my 801, and trying to
decide whether or not to build in a ballast box, or battery mount in the
tail.
I'll be using a Lycoming O-360 most likely.
Regards,
Jeff

Thanks. It's a lot easier to add facilities for ballast if there is likely
a need during the construction process than after so just want to make
sure.
Thanks Much,
Jeff
