I have a Columbian friend that I asked to translate the Barcelona crash
text for me. He said that their syntax is a little different, but was
able to come up with the following:

The airplane was making a local flight of 30 minutes when it was
returning to its base, and five minutes before landing, the airplane
according to
witnesses initiated a descent down a small hill according
to what they were able to observed at different angles. The wings of the
plane
bent in flight.

One was able to observe the right wing bending crushing the cabin,
producing a loud sound, and finally ended up on top of the
left wing, the frame didn't break or separate from it only
bend.

Another witness was about 600meters and in its path
he noticed a plane at very low altitude, he observe to see what it was doing
or where it was going, with great surprised, he noticed that the wings
were bent, pieces of the cabin
were flying through the air (after it was confirmed that there were
pieces of the plane spread around the streets within a 300meter radius
before impact
pieces of lexan mostly of small dimensions, the plane was making an
acrobat in the air and disappeared behind a small hill according
to the witness.

A second person and at a closer zone, in the same area at
300meters before impact, heard a loud noise, that made him turn around
to look at the plane. He saw a plane with a bent wing and making a very
loud noise and the wing was moving,
he also talks about the final acrobat in the air before crashing,
against the dirt very vertically the motor was still
running with many revolutions, the motor separated at quite a few meters
because of
strong impact.

Well it is good to know that Spain's version of the NTSB can produce as useless a document as our NTSB.

Gig, that is a preliminary report. If you are looking for consolation for NTSB's anemic reports you are looking in the wrong place. how useless are their final reports? well judge for yourself, here is the final report of an RV4 accident.

http://www.fomento.es/NR/rdonlyres/0829B046-4C00-4D3E-B378-40F06DA29314/32986/2007_045_A1.pdf

It does have a conclusion and unlike NTSB reports, give readers enough info and pictures to judge by themselves.

Lets hope they produce reports like that for light sport aircraft accidents as well.

SO the Spanish tax dollars are spent making a 26 page report that reults in a conclusion, plane stalled, then fell out of the sky. What is it about the report, all the fun read or the fact that their reporting is 26 pages of micro analysis? Please. What is good about the reports from NTSB is they are efficient. If they need to be more in detail, they are. The NTSB reports produced are fine. We are all just pissed that they have'nt found the determining factor in a few Zenith accidents.
Or are we pissed that the NTSB has not found the results of the accidents we want?
Lets stick to apples and apples. the VANS RV4 was pretty cut and dry. The Zenith ones are'nt.

Well, that will be Spanish tax Euros. In any case, I'm not pissed at the NTSB not finding the reason for these accidents, in time they will find it, whatever the reason is, since this thinks keeps happening.

As to their 26 pages report, they are not the only one, the Brits and the Aussies produce very similar accidents reports. The irony is that they do it beside having lower salaries and working less hours than their American NTSB counterparts. So it is not because they pay more taxes.

But never mind that their reports are more thorough than our NTSB ones, ours have to be better because.... well its ours.
