I screwed up.



I just went to the bank to open the Group's savings account. To avoid 

filing letters of incorporation with the State of Montana and 501c(3) 

papers with the IRS, I had already determined to open the account as a 

joint account in Al Hays and my name. I had foolishly assumed that there 

would be no problem cashing checks made out to "Zenith Builder Analysis 

Group Phillips-Hays." I just went to the bank and they told me I was wrong. 

We need to have the checks made out to:



Phillips-Hays



with "Zenith Builders Analysis Group" in the Memo entry.

'Sorry. If you've already mailed your check, I'll mail it back as soon as I 

get it. Then you can  send a new check when you get the original back.



The good news is that I have 12 folks (counting Al and me) who have pledged 

to send checks. We are doing better than I expected. Knock on wood! We 

might make it.



And I got a good lead from the list on buying photos from the NTSB. If we 

raise any funds above the $4800 minimum those photos would probably be the 

first and highest use for the excess. If there is a way to do it legally, 

we would try to make the photos available to the List. We'll have to 

explore copyright restrictions, etc., before we could commit, however.



Thank you for your continued support. I apologize for the extra work 

resulting from my failure to get the full scoop from the bank before 

sending out yesterday's message. Onward and upward.
