Help.  The carburetor cable ends I got from SkyShop with my 701 FWF package are too large to fit the holes in the 912 carb levers and it is almost impossible to reduce them for a good fit.  Skyshop 701  FWF is no longer supported by their supplier.



 Where can I get cables with proper ends ?  The item is not shown in the Rotax 912 parts diagram, just the carb levers into which it fits.

I just replaced my throttle cables in my 912 yesterday. I used cable stock I purchased from Lockwood when I attended the 912 school in Jan. I bought a cable cutter and clipped the ends of the cable and housing to proper size slid thru the "bug nuts' on the carb and the throttles. You could then put shrink tubing over the cable ends to discourage fraying (or solder,or rubber dip)

   That is how I did it on my Kitfox and how it appeared to be done on the CT's they were flying at Lockwood. When we were doing the carb sync ,I took a good look at the throttle cable routing. It is rather a pain to get the cable thru the small holes.Make sure you use a good cable cutter ! Lockwood has real nice reusable cable  end retainers/adjusters for about $4.00 ea. They were far nicer then the old crimped ends on my 2001 Rotax 912 engine.

     I am sure your engine probably uses a different setup (my luck) but that is how I did mine. 

     Today I will pneumatically sync the carbs in about 1 minute with my " throttle bug" and my Twin Max carb sync system. What a nice easy system !

    Here is a picture of a CT carb I snapped at Lockwood showing the linkage. It has the "super deluxe" adjustable cable ends and shows the threading of the cable I was talking about.
