 [b]One that I bought on EBay  from eagleaviationllc ,  in Oshkosh had a   bad motor and some stripped gears in the reduction unit. 

  I don't think this is a common fault as long as Ivo's   recommended procedures are followed.

 You might ask Ron at Ivo,  perhaps  this prop was  installed incorrectly , or what could cause this.

  

 Ivo was very helpful in getting me the correct setup,  as the  EBay prop was not the correct unit for my installation on a 582  Rotax. 

   I went with the ground adjustable and understand I can  upgrade with a In flight adj. package  should I wish in the  future 

  

 By the way,     Service bulletin  #17   states,  "that the ENGINE side rail mount must not be  used with a 3.47 or 4.0 to 1 gearbox. "   Does any one know why  ?     What would one do if they wanted to use a 3.47   gearbox in the way of mounting the engine ?   Any known  fixes?      I got a new E box with a blue head engine  and  would like to use the new stuff  when I decide to do the 300 hr  thing.

Gary,  What ratio gear box do you have? 



I run 3 to 1 now and have tried 2.62 and it gave worse performance. I was actually thinking of trying a 3.47 or   4 to 1 this summer. 

I have over 450 hours on my 582 right now since June 06 and never been apart yet.
