I originally started the "Show us your finished Kitfox" and received a great response. Thanks guys! Now I'm looking for panel shots. One thing I'm looking for is instrumentation. I'll be using a Rotax 912 and want to see how people are monitoring their engines. I'm not real wild about the EIS engine monitors, they don't seem very intuitive to me and want to see what others have done..

Here's mine! Basic VFR. The best thing about it is the EIS! How's that for a difference of opinion! The only other "unique" thing is the Becker transponder. I paid a little extra for a minimum weight unit; as you can see, I have a major in minimum weight, with a minor in aesthetics. (The original builder had a T&B and VSI which I didn't install because I didn't think I'd ever use them and I saved a little weight.) By the way, the panel's carbon with a wood veneer clear coated with semi-gloss Sterling.

Travis,
It's beautiful! What engine monitor do you have? And what's
the round LCD instrument under the transponder?

Guy,
Thanks. …glad you like it! The engine monitor is from Vision Microsystems: http://www.visionmicrosystems.com/ Model # VM1000. I’ve been very pleased with it and it monitors everything (including all four cylinders CHT/EGT) plus fuel management. With such precise monitoring, I can run lean of peak when at altitude (the Continental IO-240 Fuel Injected engine does very well with Lean of Peak).
The round instrument under the transponder is a Rocky Mountain Encoder: http://www.rkymtn.com/ It handles the Mode C altitude encoding. The following info is also available visually/digitally; VSI, ASI, Altitude, Barometer (adjustable), Density Altitude, Pressure Altitude, True Airspeed, Outside Temp, Speed Alarms (Flaps, Gear, Stall, etc). It provides an enormous amount of info in a very small space.

Here is mine. I spent many hours with epanel builder. This left only minutes to hours fiddling with placement on the actual metal.

If you meant the carpet (normal plastic indoor outdoor) the panels are .020 cut to follow the tubes with about 3/4" extra. They are riveted through the firewall to stainless 1/2" "L" stiffeners from below the footwell bend in the firewall and "stitched" to the frame tubes with tie wraps the carpet is glued to the aluminum and the extra folded over to give a finished edge.
Not my creation it was done by a gentleman in New Brunswick, Glen McGuigan.
