Hello Clive,
Looking back at some older messages I am not sure I ever answered your above question. Basically the article applies to any airplane. Not being too fast on final and full stall landings are the way to go for about any airplane in the general aviation arena. On the Esqual the speed is even more critical as you will float a long way with just an extra knot or two in the flare. That high aspect ratio "glider" wing is efficient.
