Kolb folks,
I've held off for a few days reponding to the news of our good friend John's tragic accident. Damn sure it isn't because I didn't care!! The fact is, I was SO SAD it, and it upset me very much!!! (Still does!)
I had just met John W., John H., Larry C. & his wife, Mike & his wife, and Dan, a few days earlier at Monument
Valley. I still find it difficult to get my mind around the fact that John W is gone!!
My sincerest simpathies to the Wiiliamson family. I know we all have lost a good friend. My simpathies also extend to John H, Larry and Roger, for the unimmaginable horror they faced trying to help their close friend.
May I ask that each and every one of you double check your preflight list, and make sure your aircraft in tip-top shape? Also, be careful and fly as safe as you can. Many people are counting on you (us all) to do the best we can, and be safe doing it.
I still shake my head in disbelief!!!!
