Well, I have moved since my last building session and cannot seem to find any 20 or 30 drill bits. Is there a US size will work? If not, where do you buy them? I ordered mine from Zenith, but surely there is other places, hopefully local.

No only because he is local to me, but has good fast service.

Good luck,

Hi Larry,

Getting drill bits is relatively easy. If you want the screw in type common in aircraft use then Aircraft Spruce is a great choice. (If you aren't using them, then you might consider starting.)

For any other kind of drill bit or cutting tool I recommend MSC supply. The big problem with ordering bits there is there are too many choices. You might start with high speed steel and jobber length.

try http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/N2DRVSH?PACACHE=000000056868590

Good luck,

Paul

P.S. If you want me to pick a couple of specific parts just let me know what sizes you want and I will find some part numbers for you. Just send me a direct email.

Hi Larry;
 It is important to use the proper drill size, #30 and # 40 135 degree slit point drill bits can be purchased from www.theyardstore.com in Kansas for $0.80 each or there abouts. There are plenty of other places that have them too.

Hi Larry,

Don't forget the drill stops too! They are GREAT and don't mar the finish or anything. I've ordered from the Yard Store before too. They ship really fast!

Try Brown Tool for a great variety of aircraft tools at reasonable prices and extremely rapid service.
