Gang:

  

 I would like to thank everyone for their ideas on holding down the  carpet.  

  

 Lots of people like Velcro, but it requires sewing onto the carpet and  riveting onto the airframe.  

  

 I personally didn't like the idea of bedliner, as I definitely want the  compartment floor to *not* be sticky.  With the shape of the compartment, I  expect to slide stuff in often.

  

 Some have had good luck with carpet tape, but I *think* I want it to be  more easily removable.

  

 I'm heading down to the auto finishing specialty store today, where I know  they have a large assortment of the various and sundry push-in plastic fasteners  used in cars.  I'll see what I can find.  So no decision yet.
