Just about to rivet the skins on the elevators [601XL] and the left hand half seems it could use stiffeners top and bottom to stop drumming [trim tab channel on the other side stiffens the r/h side].Anyone done a similar mod? Cheers

I suspect there would be little/no drumming on the tail feathers.
I haven't used any stiffeners in that area.

Only advice I have is to make the material as warm as you can while riveting. When it shrinks as it cools it all tightens up.
