Doc does have a point, intentional or not he has touched on the reason this scoundrel is still in business. That point is very simply this: Hope springs eternal! Once he has your deposit you have no choice but to hope that he WILL do what he says, if you wait long enough. And we all feel that if we rock the boat to violently we will get nothing, so we have no choice but to remain quiet and hope for the best. In the mean time this jerk goes about his business of screwing even more folks in the flying community. Personally I think the guy really does intend to do what he says he will do, but for one reason or another he gets himself in a financial jamb and so he sells the same plane twice or takes a deposit on something he does not even have yet. In my situation he took a 50% deposit on 4 engines, 24 hours after he rec'd my deposit he canceled two of the engines and refused to refund the deposit on the cancelled engines. So now he has full payment for the two engines! Very slick indeed!! He then sold my engines to another party here in the states, not once but TWICE and only after I threatened him with legal action, Dennis visited him, and I waited more than 2 years did he finally send my engines. Yes folks this guy needs to be put in jail, hopefully that will happen after Dennis gets his aircraft. But as Doc hinted somebody is going to be left holding the bag when it happens. What we need to do is to get the word out about him or better than that, go over there and "talk to him by hand", he obviously need an attitude adjustment.

Hi
Am in the same boat with this guy.He has taken money from me 2 years ago to supply an 18T.Delivery should have been in may 2007.Still waiting.As you say we as the buyer are powerless once a deposit has been paid.Know damn well that any legal action will just add to the lost money,because so many people are after him for money.Cant understand how he has managed to fleece quite so many people for so long without the authorities catching up to him.I bet he goes nowhere near a Lithuanian jail.Ananbaras is a limited company,and I bet all the property/land etc is in his wifes name.Declare bankruptcy and walk away with a slap on the wrist.

Liutauras has probably defrauded more people than we know about.
I personally know of one man who is out a large sum of money.
For fun, I contacted Liutaurus and he offered to sell me a Yak 18T, and deliver it right here to me in Phoenix. Guess he is not exclusive through his reps in the USA.
Here is what he offered to sell me.
