In 2006, North Dakota State University announced what was termed to be a
breakthrough in aircraft primer technology. See
www.azom.com/News.asp?NewsID=6934.
The magnesium-rich technology is claimed to be less hazardous than
current primers and to provide superior protection. Akzo Nobel licensed
the technology and stated that it planned on commercializing it by the
end of 2007. Does anyone know the current state of the primer's
development?
