I received a response from Gus (at) Van's this morning commenting that Van's "may" consider the prop based on the feedback on a IO540 engine. I think I understood from the Hartzell rep that we are awaiting Rob to test the prop on his RV-10, so that may be the "testing" Van's is awaiting. The consideration Van's is making is if people would pay more for a prop with the same performance.
Not knowing the price difference makes it hard regardless. Maybe someone with a source at Hartzell may be able to get an idea of where that would be compared to the Aluminum prop?

I have been flying the two blade composite for around 6 weeks on my RV-4. Everyone that has flown in the RV-4 comments on how smooth the new prop is. The 12 pound weight reduction on the nose also made the plane fly noticeably better. It is hard to tell if there is any difference in speed.
