WOW...I'm assigned as a pilot at Wheeler-Sack and did not even know about t
he airshow!- Of course I've-been in Iraq now for 14 months so I'm sure
it could have slipped by me.- Too bad I'm just going to miss it by a matt
er of a couple of weeks.- I'll try and see if I can get any info for you.

I wasn't able to get much information other than what was available in the public domain. I email some folks that are there but they weren't too sure if civilians could fly in. Knowing the layout of the airfield I highly doubt it. It's not a big airfield and does not have a ton of parking. Most of it will be taken up by static displays and spectators I imagine. I think this event is more geared to the local population as a public outreach for Ft. Drum. I'd call down there but my sleep schedule is way out of whack for that right now and I'm still flying just about every day.
Watertown Airport is only about a 20 min drive from Wheeler Sack and only requires a 2 hr customs notice. Here is the customs phone number: 315-482-2261. They should also know if folks will be allowed to fly in to Wheeler Sack. Sorry I could not be of more help.
