Updated notice:

Place: 12VA <Hop-Along Airstrip> navigational details on airnav.com
Date: June 28, 2008
Time: Arrivals 10-Noon. Lunch at Noon.
Activities: tubing looks doubtful unless we get some rain. Water levels are at 1.6 feet, and 1.8 is about as low as we'd want to try. Horseshoes, hangar flying, billiards and hot-tubbing may have to do. Stormy's is a cigar-friendly establishment Wink
Bring: yourself, maybe a lawn chair and towel. Side dish optional for pilots (not referring to your Girl In Back). If you're coming by land, a side dish or dessert would be nice but not required.
Menu: grilled chicken & sides, hot dogs if we run out...
CTAF: 122.85
Traffic: anticipate left hand into runway 32, which is always uphill and usually upwind. Use the radio and keep your eyes open. Fly safe!

To help our head count, please reply if you plan to come- here, or privately to sportav8r "at" gmail.com
If you forget to RSVP but still want to come, come on!

Hope to see a good turnout to our 6th annual shin-dig. God bless.

Count me in.

Nora’s best friend will be in town (tall, good looking blond) this weekend and if I can get her a seat, the two of them will join us.

Bill

PS. Stormy, I’ll bring a “toy” or two with me.

Stormy,
The Veggie Tale squadron is checking in here.
We hope to have 4 Rv-6's there, weather permitting.
Bob Martin
Larry Burruss
Bernie Estes
Bill Riggs
Bill just recently purchased Robbie Attaway's beautiful RV-6 in Arizona.
Robbie had it set up for speed......and good looks as well. (Purple)...jokes about the color are allowed!
and it has the smaller wheel and small ez wheel pants in it so no grass strips.
We are trying to talk him into taking the pants off for the flight to your place.
You can imagine the email back and forth with all of us leaving the word "wheel" out
of the conversation as it is understood between us, but look odd to a spouse looking
over our shoulder while emailing.....Smile
A back up plan is for him to ride along with one of us.
Bill sold his C-180 to buy this RV-6 after seeing how much fun the rest of us were
having with the RV's. Doesn't your next door neighbor over hill have a 180?
Hope to see you saturday.
Bob Martin

Hey, Bob. Good to hear from you guys. Brings our total RV count to 10 that have checked in so far. That's a sharp-looking purple plane. Hope Bill can strip her down and make a good landing here. My neighbor still flies his C-1870. I think he will be out of town for the weekend, however.

Hate to say it, but the revised forecast is looking more "stormy." That's why they call me...

Stormy,

Melinda and I sure enjoyed ourselves last year!!! The weather was iffy then, too, but those who made it had a great time. We can't make it this year, but we will be thinking about you guys.
