I am in the process of making some firewall forward changes and need to shorten the length of my throttle Cable. I appear to have the standard Kitfox vernier control unit but I now find that it is about 1-1/2" too long to connect to the carby arm. I have adjusted the connector back as far as it will go using the thread adjustment but, as I didn't actually put this throttle assy in I have no idea how to adjust the length of the inner tube.
As it is set up now it works fine but when I am at WOT my vernier Knob is still out about 1-1/2"
Any ideas gratefully accepted
Gary

The throttle cable housing and the throttle cable itself may be shortened by cutting to proper length with a good set of diagonal cutters made to cut piano wire, or use a Dremel cutoff wheel.
Before cutting ANYTHING, measure the housing where you want it cut, then remove the inner cable (the wire inside the housing), cut the cable housing, then reinstall the inner cable. I usually wait to cut the inner cable until I can establish the proper length during installation.
