Anyone know where I can get a BFR in a HDS? All dual, NO SOLO.
At this point , location is not an issue. I'll pay all instructional expenses, at a premium. I need to be FAR compliant, but just. Contact off list for advice at:

Hi Phil,
I don't think it matters what sort of plane you get your BFR in. I just got one (my first ever) in a C-150. That means I can now legally do the first flight in my XL.
Contrary to many comments I have heard at FBOs, the BFR is not a test. It is merely a little bit of continuing training for licensed pilots. The notion is that training doesn't forever end when you take your check ride.
I may need some actual time in a Zodiac to satisfy insurance requirements, but that doesn't relate to the choice of equipment for the BFR.

Indeed. When I was shopping, they all wanted 5 hours of dual in a Zodiac
before I soloed. AVEMCO agreed to drop that to 3 hours of dual with a CFI
and 2 with the AMD factory test pilot once they saw his stats; I don't know
if the previous 3 being my BFR made a difference or not.
