I cannot find anywere in the manuals where it states the max EGT temp for the 914. Can anyone let me know what they are or what they have experienced? My sensors are mounted in the factory set locations in the exhaust manifolds. I was doing some taxi testing today and I saw EGT's as high as 1530 at an rpm of 4500 or so.

I was wondering the same thing and have not seen a reply. I dug up the info from installation manual section 11. Normal temp 1650F degrees and Max of 1740F with probes placed about 4" down stream.

George,
Thanks for the reference. I will have to measure mine but from memory, it seems the factory welded bosses are much closer than the 3.93 inches shown in the manual. I test flew my bird last night and saw EGTs above 1750 in the climb...they came down to the mid 1600s on downwind. If the bosses are closer than the 3.93 inches shown in the manual, that would explain my higher readings. Two other guys flying my same setup said my temps were typical of what they see.
