Does anyone have experience with Full Lotus floats? I have a chance to buy a set that is new and been in dry storage for about 10 yrs. I am wondering if they might have deteriorated with time. Thanx for any Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com [b]

Hi
A few years ago CI got a used Kitfox with full lotus C about 130 hours on plane and full lotus.my flying Cless than 2 hours Cthe floats ripped open(1') showing bladder Cfront top.Returned floats to Full
Lotus in BC for repairs. They said they were a write off Cwouldn't repair.Damage caused by UV rays.

I picked up a set of used 1260's a little over a year ago and put 180+ hours on them on mud, grass, snow, ice, oh yeah, and water. It all depends on how they were stored. sitting out of the sun wont hurt them. You can also get a UV blocker that really helps out google 303 protectant. it is SPF 40 for your floats or inflatable boat.

Seems like they would have used some blocker whern they were manufactured. I
am going down to look at them "one of these days". Will look real careful.

UV blocker on the fabric needs to be refreshed a couple times a year IMO. These get alot of wear etc from walking on them. They also make a slip cover to put on them when they are at the dock to block the sun.
