I am going to build the Kitfox 7 Super Sport with a Rotax 912-S, and tricycle gear. Are there are any mods or options that are a " Must Have " on this plane ? Any suggestions in building or that could make this the best plane possible would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Mike,
Build it light. No carpet. No lights (unless you need lights for your
mission.) Minimal instrumentation. But get a lift reserve instrument.

Mike,

Tell us what you would like to do with the airplane?  Cross country, just bum around, instrument capable/proficiency, yada, yada, yada! That way you'll get more targeted and meaningful information.

Mike,
I would order the predrilled quick build wings for the Rotax 912S. It will
save you a lot of time with setting the wings for proper position.

I would like to do mild aerobatics, and fly long cross country. I also need to be able to fly in areas ( not inside ! ) of thunderstorms that always build here during the daytime here in Florida, so the plane needs to be strong and agile enough to handle the bad turbulence that often comes when one flys near a storm. I plan on getting the quick build wings, but I was not sure about the wings matched to fuselage option, weather I should do this or not.

I also need a heater, and would like to soundproof as much as possible. I don't know if firewall sound proofing works well on a Kitfox ? I plan on an EFIS panel, clouds happen and sometimes an artificial horizon can save your arse Smile Thats it in a nutshell, if there is anything else I should consider let me know.

Thanks,

Mike
