Had one of the worst screw ups in my building career tonight......and of course the fact that was 103 and humid didn't soothe my termperment either. While match drilling the bottom skins on my wings C one of the spar ends fell and damaged the forward nose rib and skin pretty bad. The number one reason I bought QB wings was to avoid building those fuel tanks C and now it looks like I have to drill one apart and reskin it. Any shortcuts?..........(he asks C knowing there is likely only alot of elbow grease to look forward to)

Hi Mike,
I'm a slow build guy... all the way... and wound up with some corrosion in one of my tanks. After a lot of sanding I finally decided to scrap it and start again. The cost was about $450.00 and 62 hours. Once I got over the heartache, the process, like all the other building was enjoyable and gratifying. I built a very nice "third" tank.
It seems to me that re-skinning the tank could take much more time than simply starting from scratch, and the prospect of having a leak would be much greater. I imagine that the worst result at this point would be to spend a ton of time trying to re-skin, only to wind up starting from scratch.
