Anyone out there experiencing piston and ring problems with ECI Titan cylinders - in either Steel or Nickel?
Specifically excessive blow by or overheating heating problems with the Plasma and
tapered face ring combinations used on the 0320 and 0360 engines.

To the best of my knowledge, none of my customers have ECi cylinders.

I've got ECI Cermi-Nil cylinders on my Lynx (O-320 engine) with about 100 hrs STOH. The cylinders were honed new exhaust guides, valves, pistons and ECI rings installed. My oil consumption has always been low with about 1 qt in 25 hrs and they run very cool (300 -350F) with Van's RV baffling. For engines that are flow irregularly and sit around for long times, especially in humid climates, I think that ECI's Cermi-Nil cylinders are the best choice. Lycoming and Superior steel cylinders will rust under these conditions where the Cermi-Nil cylinders will not.
I have also used ECI rings in many customers Nitrided cylinders with very good luck. They always seat quickly and the oil consumption is low if they are broken in properly. In fact I like their plasma filled top compression rings a lot and prefer them over other rings.
What is the history of your cylinders? New, overhauled, or what?
