This should be an easy answer - the dash on my Kitfox II is held on by 4 shock-absorbing rubber thingies, 2 of which are pretty much shot. I need to order new ones from Aircraft Spruce, or whoever carries them, but I don't know what they are called. Searching for "dashboard shock-absorbing rubber mounting thingies" doesn't work Wink

I have attached a section of borrowed image from a previous list posting, hopefully the original poster won't mind but it's a perfect shot. The "thingie" is in the center.

Thanks in advance,

Lordy! They are indeed. Now why didn't I know that!? It's such an obvious
name...

I could think of many other parts of the airplane that would be more
appropriately named Lord Mounts, 'cause their failure could make a meeting
with the Lord sooner than one may have wanted. But not *panel* mounts!

Thanks Lynn

Nah, those are called "Jesus bolts", like those two big ones that
hold the lift struts to the fuselage. Helicopters have them, too...

.. is that what they are called, Mike? Gosh! I remember when I started flying my Kitfox that I looked at those with respect and awe. Now I nearly ignore them in my preflight. ... have I lost faith? Smile

I had sed:

I hope not, Michel. You were too close for comfort recently!

As you observed, some of the engine mounts are Lord Mounts, and if
these let go (unlikely) the "big meeting" just might be on your agenda.
