CJ-6A

The rear triplex gauge does not indicate fuel or oil pressure. Oil temp is good. Swapped to the front and it worked fine. Does anyone know where the wire from the sending units branches off to each cockpit before I start undoing zip ties and wire bundles?

Also the "down" position of my oil temp switch pegs the instrument so I suspect there is a ground issue. Where is this probe?

Thanks,

Keith

Keith:

Rather than unzipping a ton of stuff, why don't you just run a new wire to bypass the old, non-working one? Other than that, you can ohm out connectors to find where the offending connection is. The CJ maint documents with wiring diagrams should help.

Hi Craig,

Thanks, I was actually thinking the same as you regarding running new wiring. probably will go that route. One of my problems is I don't think I have the best CJ books. I'm guessing Doug has the best stuff. The wiring diagrams I'm working off of are pretty basic.
