How have flying RV10s handled the tire pressure checks without removing a portion of the wheel pant?

We've drilled a 2" hole in the wheel pant (mains only) and put a Cirrus (blasphemous word, I know) plastic plug in there. With that plug removed you can get a gauge with a 45 degree head onto the valve stem, but you have to leave the cap off if you want to be able to do that.

Wasn’t there a thread awhile back about replacing the standard inner tubes with ones that have the a valve stem with a 90 degree bend such that it points perpendicular to the wheel? This is what I have on my 8A. It allows you to attach a valve extension through a small door in the wheel pant. I put a spring loaded door (ACS catalog item) on the wheel pants and carry in the plane an extension made from four Wal-Mart valve stem extensions screwed together.

I don't know about the -8A, buy on the -10 you would need about a 45 degree angle bend to work with the main wheel.
