Yes, the same size lock works. The mag switch includes two locks and one of them can be used for the door.

Roger,
I may caution against this format. The sight of a lock on the door has some value, but with that configuration, it is easy to just open the door anyway and break the lock. Those locks are not very strong. May I recommend putting the lock in line with the geared rod and further from it, so when you lock it the arm will be horizontal and you would have to shear the lock to open the handle instead of just turning the arm. This seems to be a much stronger way of doing it. If don't think I have a picture, but if I find one or get a chance to take one I'll post it.

We used the IflyRV10 door handles and locks from Steve Dinieri. I am very happy with the results. Here are some photos. Steve also sent me and additional lock cylinder that I will use on the baggage door. Great company to work with.

how far in line would this be? specifically how far is on the exterior where one would drill a hole for the placement?
Thanks!

You'd have to measure the travel of your geared rods and place the lock so the cylinder just misses the rod when it is opened all the way, then is able to close when the door is fully latched, even if it doesn't quite reach the rod when it is closed. Or, you can modify the locking arm so that it is a close fit on both ends. I don't know the measurement off hand.

My mind seems to be missing something C but the pic shows the pins in the door closed position and the lock arm I imagine preventing
the pins from opening. With the lock arm recessed like it is in the picture C how do you get it out of the way to open the door...seems like the arm will just hit the side of the fiiberglass recess?
The drawing that others show in later posts show the lockset out side of the fiberglass recess C but in that case the lock arm would need a 90 degree bend at the end of it to be able to hit the back end of the geared pin arm. The lock set in this case would only be able to rotate about 30 degrees to get out of the way of the geared pin arm C any further rotation would make it hang up on the fiberglass recess walls.
What am I missing here?

The fiberglass recess was slotted to allow the door lock arm to swing up and out of the way. It's hard to see the cut in the picture.
